A total of 108 jewish communities representing ca. 105,000 individual members are organized in 23 regional associations under the umbrella of the Central Council of Jews. The spectrum of religious denominations within the communities covers a broad span from strictly orthodox via reform and conservative to progressive. This clearly illustrates that the Central Council of Jews in Germany unites the religious interests of all Jews living in the country.
