Protest rally in Nuremberg

Sunday 11 June 2006 at 3 pm on Jakobsplatz

The nuclear rearmament pursued by the Iranian regime poses a threat to Europe, Israel and the entire free Western world. Iran already possesses missiles capable of turning Europe into an inferno. Ahmadinejad has left no doubts about his murderous intentions.

Our protest rally will send clear messages:

  • Diplomatic relations with a country that denies the holocaust are intolerable. This constitutes a crime.
  • The new idol so admired by right-wing extremists and neo-Nazis must be resisted.
  • The Iranian regime needs to understand that German society and politicians are horrified and disgusted by this unacceptable aggression towards Israel and that they will not permit Israel to fall victim to such destructive fury.

We call upon all democrats to display their solidarity with Israel and publicly declare their stance on anti-Semitism. Join this protest rally! The democracy, liberty and peace of Europe are being defended in Israel.

Speakers : Arno Hamburger, Chairman of the Jewish Community in Nuremberg, Dr Günther Beckstein, Bavarian Minister of the Interior , Dr Ulrich Maly, Mayor of the City of Nuremberg, Claudia Roth, Co-chair of ALLIANCE 90/THE GREENS, Dr Michel Friedman, Chairman of Keren Hayesod Vereinigte Israel Aktion

The success of this demonstration depends on EVERYONE. Please mobilise other participants from your town.
