The President of Central Council of Jews in Germany, Dr. Dieter Graumann, looks forward to welcoming the President of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mazyek, and the President of the Turkish Community in Germany, Kenan Kolat, at the next meeting of the Directorate which will take place on Sunday, 23 January 2011.

"With this talk, the Central Council wants to send a positive message of understanding and dialogue. We are not going to leave the field to those who aim at polarizing and dividing our society," stressed Dieter Graumann. "Whatever problems and deficiencies there might in the relationship between our communities, we will discuss them openly. At the same time, we should not forget that the things that we have in common are much more numerous than the things that divide us," the President said. "The only way to build trust is to speak with – and not about – each other," emphasized Graumann. "We do not just announce our willingness to start dialogue with Muslims in this country, we are starting it right now," he said.
