Man suspected of burgling Jewish Community three weeks ago detained

Frankfurt/Oder – The police have detained a 38-year-old man suspected of having burgled the premises of the Jewish Community of Frankfurt/Oder three weeks ago. The newspaper Märkische Oderzeitung reports that the man has been arrested after traces of his DNA were found on the stone that had been used to break one of the windows. According to the state persecutor responsible for the case, Michael Neff, the suspect has a relevant criminal record. Neff said that there had been no political background to the man's previous offences. However, the police investigation is still ongoing. T he burglar moved from Berlin to Frankfurt/Oder last year.
