Charlotte Knobloch re-elected in Munich


Munich – The President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany , Charlotte Knobloch, 75, has been re-elected as the President of the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria by the Community Board for further four years. Charlotte Knobloch has been President of the Jewish Community since 1985. In addition, she has been Vice-President of the European Jewish Congress since 2003 and Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress since 2005. 1834 of 4721 Community members eligible to vote (38,8 %) took part in the election to the Community Board. Nathan Kalmanowicz, member of the Presidium of the Central Council, und Abi Pitum have been elected as Vice-Presidents of the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria . The Community Board composed of 15 representatives has the following members: Charlotte Knobloch, Judith Epstein, Talia Presser, Vera Szackamer, Ariel Kligmann, Abi Pitum, Robert Guttmann, Stanislaw Skibinski, Marian Offman, Markus Baur, Michael Fischbaum, Nathan Kalmanowicz, Peter Guttmann, Michael Wolffsohn und Moris Lehner.
